Other international conferences relating to the history of cartography

Brussels International Map Collectors' Circle (BIMCC). Holds a one-day international meeting in the winter.
International Cartographic Association (ICA). Meets biennially, in odd years, and includes meetings of the:

Commission on the History of Cartography - Chair (2007-2011): Elri Liebenberg <elri (at) worldonline.co.za >
Working Group on the History of Colonial Cartography in the 19th and early 20th centuries (2006-07, after which it merged with the Commission on the History of Cartography, above)
Commission on Digital Technologies in Cartographic Heritage (formed 2005, as a Working Group) - Chair: Evangelos Livieratos <livier (at) auth.gr>

International Commission for the History of Nautical Science and Hydrography. 'Reunions' are held every two years, usually in Portugal or Brazil. See the 41-page pdf Bibliography of the International Reunions (from 1968).

Kartographiehistorisches Colloquium. Held biennially (in even years) in different German-speaking countries. The talks are published by Cartographica Helvetica. See Indexes to papers (from 1982)

Society for the History of Discoveries (SHD). Meets annually, usually in the United States. See the site for abstracts of the talks. Papers are often published in Terrae Incognitae and a Newsletter is produced.
