Who's Who in the History of Cartography
the International Guide to the Subject (D9)

Editions of Who's Who..., originally entitled 'International Directory of Current Research...', have occurred at roughly four-yearly intervals. The ninth edition (known as 'D9'), edited by Mary Alice Lowenthal, was published in November 1998. Who's Who... is THE essential printed aid for reference librarians, researchers and indeed anybody interested in early maps, to help them answer such questions as: where to look? where to go? what journals? whom to approach? what to join?

The volume has two parts: Who's Who (listing 630 researchers in 45 countries) and a What's What

In March 2003, a 'répertoire des historiens de la cartographie résidant en France' appeared in Le Monde des Cartes (Revue du Comité français de Cartographie), No.175. Copies, costing Euro 13, can be obtained from Comité Français de Cartographie, 107 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris, France.

Updates to researchers' addresses, etc. (since 1998)
