Who's Who

The directory gives details of 630 researchers, from many disciplines, who have written about or are carrying out research using early maps. Each entry provides the researcher's address and, where known, phone/fax/email details, with a statement of research interests and a list of recent publications. The interests and publications are summarised in the three indexes:-

People

Places (arranged according to a geographical hierarchy to bring together entries for each region)

Subjects

Using this directory allows you to identify the person to contact over a problem or point of interest; it can suggest the name of a possible collaborator; and it can help you to avoid duplicating research already being carried out by someone else.
